Individualized Lesson Plans
& Learning to Grow Independently

There have been countless students who just “gave up” because they spend hours practicing and don’t make any real progress

It can be difficult for students to self evaluate their strengths and weaknesses and not become overwhelmed by by the areas that need to be addressed

Bob will assess the student and create a customized plan that focuses on capitalizing on their strengths as well as addressing weaknesses and problem areas

It is important for students to develop the ability so that they can do this as they work independently outside of lessons

Lessons will not only be focused on what the teacher can identify but what the student can hear and learn from as well… Developing Efficient Practicing is KEY.

About:

Bob is an accomplished clarinet and saxophone musician in Libertyville, IL.  Bob studied under the direction of Brian Logan and graduated from Maine East High School winning The John Phillip Sousa,  The Louis Armstrong and Departmental awards.  Bob won awards and competitions at local Lake and Cook County festivals, IMLEA/Allstate. He went on to study music and to play in the top bands at Northern University and the University of Illinois.  Bob has played in bands and professional gigs throughout Chicagoland and co-directed his own Big Band for 6 years.  Bob taught student lessons at Carl Sandburg Middle School as well as privately at the High School and adult levels.  Working the last 25 years at his family business in Morton Grove, Bob had less time for students.  Bob is now working from home in Libertyville and is looking forward to be available to take on more students again.  Bob knows what it takes to succeed and thrive in school bands and competitions,  how to prepare for a great college program or to support a lifelong relationship with music for years to come.
